I’m Neyruz Abou Jamra, illustrator, visual artist and graphic designer.
Currently based in The Netherlands. Recently: writing, illustrating and learning Dutch language.
I have over 20 years experience, working since my graduation in ‘Visual Communication/ Faculty of Fine Arts’ in Damascus/ Syria. Had worked for different multinational advertising agencies in both Syria and The United Arab of Emirates as a creative graphic designer, art director and illustrator, for commercial concepts & branding.
In 2014 I had my first children illustrated Arabic book published ‘Bushra wal samaka’.
Since 2010 I started working as freelancer focusing in my illustrations. My artwork has been featured in numerous galleries and known with in a private collection of original paintings in Syria, Europe, and GCC. I work with a variety of techniques and materials including (watercolour, ink, acrylic and mixed media).
Some extensions of me of how I perceive things:
Children Books (writing and illustrating) & dreaming on writing songs.
Workshop trainer, because I believe we all born artist spirits (drawing and textile painting).
Textile painting over T-shirts, girls dresses, throw pillows, table cloth..etc. Art is to live it daily.
